Time flies by, before you know it it will be christmas again....."What?" you say "only another 46 weeks and Santa will be forcing his way down my chiminy - No way."... yes way.
A good couple of months since have flown by scince I last wrote any garblings on this blog. During that time, we've had a successful move (after plan revision 6, I'm thinking), completed a couple of development projects, been involved in the new National Diplomas for 14-19 year olds in creative meadia and IT and had Christmas break.... Can't tell you about the projects, top secret, Non Disclosure Agreements etc. However, can say clever use of CAN Bus and wireless communications. Say no more, a wink is as good as a nudge and all that.
What I can talk about is the work we did with the diplomas, and the Students. Hats off to all of them, the amount of enthusiasm and creativity that they possess is fantastic and really refreshing to see. The idea behind the Diploma is to link education with business and give the students a more practicle learning environment with potential real life business problems to solve. So as a local business, we try to support wherever we can by setting the students a task or by just giving a presentation and exposing them to world outside school. In this instance we proposed a rebranding excersise, it is something that we have considered in earnest so it seemed like a nice self contacined project, look at refreshing the logo, maybe addressing the website etc. The students at Manor school just outside york were fantastic.
